My Journey to Better Health
I got the idea of writing about Foods to Promote Health and Healing after I had been eating carelessly and not minding how my health was impacted by my diet and lifestyle in general. I naively thought that because of my strong faith in God, He would just miraculously heal me if I fell ill. God, in His mercies, has led me to wisdom on eating right to avoid certain ailments, especially as I age. I was diagnosed with very high Blood Pressure by a Nurse at Bible School about six years ago. She advised me to go see a Doctor and most probably get prescription since the level of my Blood Pressure was too high. I told her that I was going to pray for healing and God was going to heal me. In the meantime, I kept eating foods laden with too much salts, fats and sugars. I prayed and since there are no symptoms for High Blood Pressure, I forgot about it and just believed that God would take care of my High Blood Pressure and I did very little to lower it.
A year later, I checked myself at a Pharmacy and I realized that my Blood Pressure was still very high. That is when I thought of researching on what I should do to lower my Blood Pressure naturally and I found out about foods that I could eat.
